What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

The City of Shoreview now hiring a full-time Custodian to work in our active Shoreview Community Center and City Hall complex. This position is essential to providing a clean, safe and sanitary environment for our guests. We have a team of 7 full-time custodians for this busy facility that serves over 500,000 visitors each year.Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year custodial experience
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. frequently and lift/move 50-100 lbs. occasionally
- The final candidate will be required to pass a physical exam and background check
Hours:
Third shift: 8:30pm- 5am, Friday
