A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

To assist in the cleaning and upkeep of assigned building(s) and grounds to ensure a condition of operating excellence in order to provide a quality education and a safe and clean environment for all staff, students, and community members. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. One year of custodial experience in an educational setting preferred, 2nd Class Boiler license at time of hire. Ability to obtain unlicensed electrician registration and CPOwithin 6 months. Availability to coveron day shift in the absence of the Head Engineer.FTE/Hours per
Day:
8.0 hours per day, 52 weeks per year, Monday through Friday.Qualifications:
Must have2nd class boilers license at time of hire and CPO certification and unlicensed electrician registrationwithin 3 monthsof hire.High school diploma or GED equivalent.
