Job Description

Sanitation Worker Vonachen Group is looking to hire a Sanitation Worker in Wanamingo, MN. The Sanitation Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment through the thorough cleaning and sanitizing of facilities, equipment, and high-touch surfaces. This role ensures compliance with all company standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., OSHA, FDA, USDA where applicable). The Sanitation Worker plays a critical role in supporting operational efficiency and upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Job responsibilities:
Perform routine and deep cleaning of facility areas, including production floors, equipment, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas. Execute sanitation procedures using approved chemicals, tools, and methods, following all safety and dilution guidelines. Vacuum and clean equipment as required for proper sanitation (if applicable to site). Follow established sanitation schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations. Identify and report contamination risks, safety hazards, or maintenance issues immediately to leadership. Properly handle, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals and waste materials in accordance with company and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate sanitation logs, checklists, and documentation as required. Stock and maintain sanitation and cleaning supplies. Support inspections and audits by maintaining cleanliness and documentation readiness. Adhere to all PPE requirements and safety protocols at all times. Assist with special sanitation projects or emergency cleanups as needed. Complete other duties as assigned.
Job requirements:
Skills and Abilities Must be 18 years or older Must have reliable transportation Understanding of sanitation practices, chemical usage, and safety procedures Ability to follow detailed instructions High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills Reliability and strong work ethic Education and Experience High school diploma or GED Previous sanitation, janitorial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred Experience in regulated environments (food production, healthcare, manufacturing) is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent bending, lifting, twisting, and repetitive motion Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs Ability to work in varying environments (wet, humid, hot, or cold conditions depending on facility) Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods Details Full-Time 2nd shift & 3rd shift Sunday-Thursday/10PM-6AM Monday- Friday 2PM-10PM $22.25hr.
