CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Department:
Coordinating daily housekeeping services to assure that the hospital maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary facility. Following proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions used in the work area. Environmental Services ensures that Infection Control and Universal Precautions are maintained.
A typical day will include:
Cleaning all areas of the hospital by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, office, clinical areas, operating rooms, waiting rooms, lobbies, lounges, restrooms and corridors. Ensuring all areas are sanitized according to hospital 7 Step Process. Cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment. Notifying supervisor of necessary repairs. Demonstrating ability to utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedures. Assisting patients and guests when necessary.
