Janitorial Cleaner-Columbia Woodley Building Maintenance - 3.0 Columbia, MO Job Details Part-time | Full-time $15 - $18 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Safety protocol adherence Outdoor work experience Moving Compliance with security regulations Full Job Description Janitorial Cleaner-Columbia Position Summary The Plant Cleaning & Janitorial Services Team Member is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly manufacturing facility, including designated interior and exterior areas. This position performs routine cleaning, trash removal, floor care, dusting, glass cleaning, breakroom cleaning, exterior break-area maintenance, and general housekeeping duties. Essential Job Duties Trash Pull trash gondolas throughout the plant and warehouse. Pull and empty smaller trash cans throughout hallways, work areas, and warehouse areas. Clean trash gondolas as needed. Assist with moving smaller trash cans through the facility. Interior Cleaning & General Housekeeping Dust and wipe all horizontal surfaces throughout the plant, including desks, cabinets, tables, window sills, benches, ledges, lockers, tops of partitions, and chairs. Clean visible spots and marks on walls and throughout hallways. Vacuum mats and carpeted areas and mop floors as needed. Help clean glass and regular doors on both sides, including handles and bottom portions of doors. Help keep cup dispensers throughout hallways filled. Maintain clean and organized janitorial closets and supplies. Exterior Break Areas & Picnic Areas Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all assigned outside break areas and picnic areas . Keep walkways and immediate areas free of trash and debris. Wipe down and clean outdoor tables, benches, and other designated furniture. Check tables and seating areas throughout the shift and clean as needed. Remove accumulated leaves and other natural debris from assigned areas. Check the North/South Picnic Area and remove trash and debris as needed. Report damaged outdoor furniture, overflowing trash, unsafe conditions, or other maintenance concerns to the supervisor. Breakroom Cleaning Vacuum carpets and mats as needed. Wipe and clean all horizontal surfaces. Clean drink and food dispensers, microwaves, tables, chairs, countertops, and cabinets. Check and refill paper towel and soap dispensers. Clean ice and water dispensers. Organize furniture. Replace cups and utensils as needed. Clean refrigerators every other Friday according to the calendar posted in the Janitors Office. Janitorial Areas Help keep janitorial closets clean, organized, and properly stocked. Help maintain/restock the Janitors Office. Teamwork & Shift Communication Report supply shortages, equipment concerns, damaged furniture, unsafe conditions, or facility issues to the supervisor. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, and carry as required. Ability to safely move trash gondolas that may weigh up to 120 pounds . Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and housekeeping tasks throughout the work shift. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Qualifications Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or industrial cleaning experience is preferred but not required. Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail. Must follow all company, facility, safety, and security procedures.
