A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

As a Porter, you will support the day-to-day operations of our vehicle upfitting facility by safely moving, staging, and organizing vehicles throughout the facility. You will work closely with the shop team to ensure vehicles are positioned and ready for technicians to complete assigned work and are moved through the upfit process efficiently.
Porter Responsibilities Include:
Safely drive and move vehicles throughout the facility and designated parking areas. Stage vehicles in the appropriate location based on work assignments and production priorities. Move vehicles into and out of technician work areas as needed. Ensure vehicles are positioned and ready for Automotive Upfit Technicians to begin assigned work. Move completed vehicles to the appropriate staging area following completion of upfit work. Assist with maintaining an organized and efficient vehicle flow throughout the facility. Verify vehicle information and ensure vehicles are staged in the correct location. Assist technicians and leadership with moving vehicles as needed throughout the upfit process. Perform basic vehicle checks to identify visible issues or concerns and communicate them to the appropriate team member. Fuel vehicles when required. Maintain vehicle keys and ensure they are properly organized and accounted for. Assist with loading, unloading, and moving vehicle-related materials or equipment when needed. Keep vehicle staging areas, parking areas, and surrounding work areas clean and organized. Assist with miscellaneous shop, facility, and operational tasks as assigned. Follow all vehicle handling, safety, and company procedures. Maintain a clean and professional appearance of vehicles while they are being moved and staged. Porter Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Previous professional driving, automotive, warehouse, manufacturing, or vehicle-handling experience preferred. Comfortable driving and maneuvering a variety of vehicles. Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable and punctual with strong attendance. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced automotive environment. Must meet company background check and drug screen requirements. Willingness to assist with various operational tasks as needed.
Porter's Working Conditions and Physical Demands Include:
Must be willing and able to work onsite in an active automotive shop and vehicle staging environment. Frequent walking and standing throughout the workday. Frequent getting in and out of vehicles of various sizes. Ability to safely drive and maneuver vehicles throughout the facility and parking areas. May require bending, reaching, crouching, and lifting. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed. May be exposed to varying temperatures and weather conditions when working outside. Must be comfortable working around moving vehicles, automotive equipment, and an active shop environment. May require overtime or schedule flexibility based on business needs.
Pay:
From $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
