A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Job Summary Briarcliff Clean is looking for dependable, detail-oriented Residential House Cleaning Professionals to provide high-quality cleaning services in clients' homes throughout the Kansas City Northland. This is a flexible, part-time, 1099 independent contractor opportunity. You provide the days and daytime hours you are consistently available each week, and cleaning opportunities are offered within that availability. The right person takes pride in their work, follows cleaning procedures, communicates professionally, and can work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of clean. Duties Clean residential homes according to Briarcliff Clean's service checklist and client instructions. Dust surfaces, vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors. Clean and sanitize kitchens and bathrooms. Clean bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, and other assigned areas. Make beds and complete light straightening when included in the scheduled service. Use cleaning products, supplies, and equipment safely and correctly. Communicate professionally with clients, other cleaning professionals, and the Briarcliff Clean office. Report damages, safety concerns, access issues, or unusual home conditions promptly. Arrive on time and complete assigned work efficiently and thoroughly. Travel between client homes throughout the Kansas City Northland. Qualifications Residential cleaning experience is helpful but not required. Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent weekly availability. Strong attention to detail. Positive and professional attitude. Able to follow instructions and cleaning checklists. Comfortable working independently and alongside other cleaning professionals. Able to stand, bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks. Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance. Must have a smartphone for scheduling and job communication. Schedule This is a flexible, part-time daytime opportunity. You provide the days and hours you are consistently available to work each week, and cleaning opportunities are offered within that availability. Residential cleaning appointments are generally scheduled Monday through Friday during daytime hours. Applicants should be available for at least one or two consistent weekdays each week. Contractor Classification This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Independent contractors are responsible for their own taxes and are not classified as employees of Briarcliff Clean.
