A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS:
Full-time position; 2nd shift position working from 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. with a half-hour lunch breakPRIMARY DUTY
The Custodian will perform various custodial duties to include but not limited to the cleaning of restrooms, lounges, offices, classrooms, and corridors in accordance with the standard operating procedures of the department. The Custodian must be flexible and show the ability to work as a part of a team with a willingness to accept guidance and directives from the Custodial Supervisor and/or the Director of Operations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Clean, stock, and sanitize areas using established practices and procedures Use authorized cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the interior of the buildings looking clean and professional Adhere to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment for everyone Secure and lock assigned areas Assist with event set-up and tear down Use and maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and report all repairs needed Assist in cleaning of spills Change light bulbs throughout campus as needed Observe and report the need of repairs throughout campus Perform other duties as assignedCORE COMPETENCIES
