Custodian

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial and custodial services, with a strong focus on maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment. This role is essential in supporting the overall operations by ensuring that all areas are well-kept and meet health and safety standards. Duties Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and other floor care techniques Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed, including equipment cleaning and maintenance Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting when required Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries during custodial activities Support special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning initiatives as scheduled Requirements Proven experience in janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning roles Knowledge of floor care procedures including buffing and polishing Experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is a plus Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and safety standards Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Prior experience in residential painting or porter roles is advantageous but not required Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety guidelines
