Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Evening Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment during evening hours. This vital role involves performing comprehensive cleaning and custodial tasks across our facilities, ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene and safety. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience in commercial or industrial cleaning to support our team's success. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various chemical agents safely while adhering to all safety protocols and handling procedures. Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices. Maintain cleanliness by emptying trash receptacles, sanitizing high-touch surfaces, and restocking supplies as needed. Operate industrial cleaning tools and equipment to ensure floors and surfaces are properly buffed, polished, and maintained. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention. Support other custodial or janitorial duties to uphold the facility's cleanliness standards at all times. Skills Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments with custodial responsibilities. Knowledge of proper chemical handling, safety procedures, and use of cleaning equipment including floor buffers and scrubbers. Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy objects. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail. Familiarity with residential painting or general facilities maintenance is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively during evening shifts. Strong communication skills to follow instructions accurately and report maintenance issues promptly.
