Job Description

Perry County School District No. 32 is seeking a custodian for the evening shift for the 2026-2027 school year.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The job of custodian was established for the purposes of providing custodial services at assigned site(s); ensuring an attractive, sanitary, and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors; performing a variety of special cleaning operations; and assisting in preparing facilities for classroom activities and campus events.

SALARY RANGE

Hourly pay starting at $15.36

New employees receive credit for previous FULL years of verified experience in appropriate experience related to the area in which they will work.

Current District 32 salary schedules.

WORK SCHEDULE

This position works 8 hours per day, year round.

BENEFITS

Classified 12-month employees at Perry County School District 32 receive the following benefits:

The district pays up to $650.00 per month for the employee's medical insurance, which begins on the first day of the month following the official employment date. Vision, dental, and life insurance are optional and at employee expense. District-paid $10,000.00 life insurance policy.

Paid leave: 12 sick days and unused sick leave will be cumulative to 180 days, with a maximum carryover of 168 days; 2 personal days that do not carryover, but are added to the annual sick leave and then qualify for accumulation. Vacation days according to vacation schedule. Excellent retirement package, with District-matched 6.86% contribution to PEERS.
