A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

About Us Luxe & Luster Cleaning is a locally owned, husband-and-wife-run residential cleaning company based in Springfield. We care for homes across the Ozarks on a recurring basis, and every visit follows the same idea: treat each home like it's your own. We're growing, and we're looking for an experienced cleaner who wants more than a job — someone who can see themselves building a career with us for years to come. What You'll Do Clean occupied homes on a recurring schedule — kitchens, bathrooms, floors, dusting, and surfaces Perform deep cleans for new clients, giving them a top-to-bottom first impression of the Luxe & Luster standard Set the standard for what a Luxe & Luster clean looks like, following our checklist on every visit so clients know exactly what to expect Work independently and as part of a small, dependable team Speak up if something in a home needs extra attention Bring ideas to the table — help us find ways to work more efficiently and improve our cleaning processes over time Take on more responsibility as we grow — as our newest lead cleaner, you'll help shape how we train and support future team members What We're Looking For 2+ years of professional residential cleaning experience required A can-do attitude and genuine comfort working for a small, hands-on company — you'll work directly with the owners, not a corporate office Someone looking for a long-term home, not a stopgap — we want you to grow with us Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (you'll be traveling between homes) Able to pass a background check Comfortable working in and around other people's homes with care and respect Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and takes pride in a job well done Comfortable around pets — many of our clients have dogs and cats Positive attitude and takes direction well What We Offer $17.50/hour to start, with raises built in — $0.25/hour at 60 days and another $0.25/hour at 120 days 20-30 hours/week Paid drive time between homes — you're on the clock traveling between locations, not just while cleaning Tips are yours — 100% goes to you, the cleaner, not the company Paid onboarding to our systems and standards A flexible schedule that varies week to week A small, close-knit team — you'll work directly with the owners, not a call center Real room to grow as we grow — we're actively expanding across Springfield and the surrounding Ozarks, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow right along with us How to Apply Apply here on Indeed.
