Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. As a Janitor, you will responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within county facilities, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for employees and visitors. Duties include performing cleaning tasks, waste disposal, and minor maintenance work as needed.
Responsibilities:
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors on a regular basis to remove dirt, debris, and stains. Empty and clean trash receptacles and dispose of waste materials in accordance with established procedures. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures. Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment to maintain a clean and presentable appearance. Clean windows, glass surfaces, and doors to ensure they are free from smudges and fingerprints. Refill soap dispensers, paper towel holders, and toilet paper dispensers as needed. Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure availability for daily tasks. Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly to prevent accidents and injuries. Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel for prompt resolution. Collaborates with other janitors and maintenance workers as needed. Works well independently and has strong time management skills. Assist with setting up and breaking down rooms for meetings, events, and other activities as required. Adhere to county policies and procedures regarding cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards.
Skills:
Understanding of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals commonly used in janitorial work. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment. Experience & Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment. Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
Shift:
2nd shift (between the hours of approximately 3:30pm - 1:30am)
