Keeps working areas in production departments or office areas in clean and orderly condition performing any combination of the following duties: Keeps boxes, material, and stock in neat and orderly condition Cleans lint, dust, oil and grease from machines, overhead piping, conveyors and floors using brushes, airhoses, mops, rags, steam cleaners or powered floor cleaning equipment Picks up scrap, clutter, trash and transports to appropriate waste area using powered industrial truck or hand-trucks May pick up refuse from plant grounds and maintain area by cutting grass, trimming edges of walkways May also seed areas, fertilize grounds, plant shrubs, trim trees Perform assigned work in departments, plant or grounds in accordance with written/verbal instructions Dispose of plant trash, clutter, refuse, etc. in an environmentally responsible manner Report problems that cannot be addressed without guidance to department supervisor, leader or Production Manager
