Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing cleaning and custodial tasks that ensure the cleanliness and safety of our workspaces, public areas, and restrooms. Your proactive approach will help uphold our high standards of sanitation and facility maintenance, creating a positive experience for employees and visitors alike. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across various areas of the facility Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering to all chemical handling safety procedures Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors in pristine condition Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment Maintain sanitation standards in restrooms, kitchens, and common areas by disinfecting surfaces and replenishing supplies Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning activities Assist with minor custodial maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or fixing minor fixtures when necessary Skills Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices Familiarity with custodial equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and cleaning tools Ability to handle chemical agents safely following proper safety procedures for chemical handling safety procedures Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed Knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or painting is a plus Ability to adhere to safety protocols consistently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness Join us in creating a clean, safe, and inviting environment!
