A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
General Cleaner The General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming spaces in non-production areas of the plant, including offices, bathrooms, breakrooms, and locker rooms. This position is essential in supporting the health, comfort, and morale of all employees while upholding facility standards. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and showers (including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors) Maintain breakrooms by wiping surfaces, emptying trash, cleaning appliances, and replenishing supplies Clean and dust office areas, including desks, chairs, windows, and floors Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect high-traffic areas regularly Collect and dispose of waste and recycling in designated areas Replenish soap, paper towels, and other restroom/breakroom supplies Report any maintenance issues (plumbing, lighting, damage) to the supervisor Follow all company health and safety standards Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Must be 18 years or older with reliable transportation Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions Strong attention to safety and ability to wear required PPE Good communication skills and a team-first mindset Previous experience with industrial or commercial cleaning preferred, but training provided Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Frequent bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs Ability to work in a factory environment (temperature variations, noise, dust) Work with cleaning products and wear required PPE Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed
