Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold cleanliness standards. Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to ensure efficient floor care and sanitation. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies and equipment in accordance with safe lifting practices. Maintain facilities by performing minor custodial repairs and assisting with general maintenance tasks as needed. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Support additional custodial duties like residential painting or industrial cleaning when required to meet facility needs. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning processes. Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and floor care including buffing and maintenance. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to all safety protocol guidelines. Skilled in operating various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums. Excellent manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items. Customer service orientation with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks and industrial cleaning procedures enhances versatility in the role.
