Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors using appropriate techniques such as floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to maintain a polished appearance. Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals and floor care products safely, following all environmental and safety protocols. Operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, polishers, vacuums, carpet cleaners, and other janitorial tools efficiently. Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of equipment or supplies to ensure proper placement and maintenance of cleaning tools. Maintain high standards of cleanliness in restrooms, lobbies, hallways, offices, and other designated areas by dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal. Ensure proper storage and disposal of chemical agents in accordance with safety guidelines to protect health and the environment. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests or concerns regarding cleanliness or maintenance issues. Requirements Proven experience in residential, commercial cleaning or custodial services; janitorial or environmental services experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of floor scrubbing, floor waxing, floor buffing, carpet cleaning, and floor refinishing techniques. Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and understand proper usage of floor cleaning chemicals and equipment. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting (20-30lbs), prolonged standing, bending, and walking throughout shifts. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality cleaning standards. Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude. Ability to follow safety procedures diligently while working with chemical agents and cleaning machinery.
