Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Medical Day Porter/EVS (Environmental Services) Day Porter to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of healthcare environments, supporting a safe and hygienic setting for staff, patients, and visitors. Your proactive approach will help uphold the highest standards of environmental services within medical facilities. Duties Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and common areas using proper cleaning techniques and OSHA safety standards. Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet care to ensure a spotless environment. Disinfect hightouch surfaces regularly to prevent the spread of germs and ensure compliance with health regulations. Manage waste disposal efficiently by emptying trash receptacles and handling biohazard materials following safety protocols. Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and hand sanitizers to support ongoing sanitation efforts. Conduct safety inspections to identify hazards and report maintenance issues promptly. Follow all environmental services procedures with attention to detail, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and hospital policies. Experience Previous custodial or janitorial experience in healthcare or hospital settings preferred. Knowledge of environmental services best practices including sanitation, infection control, and floor care techniques. Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and hazardous materials handling. Experience with commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, extractors, and steam cleaners is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently in a fastpaced environment. Prior experience in hospital or medical facility cleaning is highly desirable but not mandatory.
