Responsibilities Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and techniques Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards Operate basic kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dishwashers safely and efficiently Support the culinary team with meal assembly and plating following recipe adherence and menu specifications Manage food storage areas, ensuring proper organization and rotation of ingredients to prevent spoilage Follow all safety standards during food handling, cleaning procedures, and equipment operation Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal prep and ensure timely service Experience Food service or restaurant experience demonstrating knowledge of food industry practices is advantageous Familiarity food preparation, and catering operations is a plus Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation protocols is essential Skills in slicing techniques, knife handling, and recipe adherence are important for success in this role Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently is desirable Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and support team efforts This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their culinary skills while contributing to a positive dining experience.
