Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct floor care activities such as scrubbing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained. Execute custodial duties in both commercial and industrial settings, adhering to safety protocols and cleaning standards. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring that all areas are functional and presentable. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively to promote a clean environment. Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies to maintain operational efficiency. Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning schedules are met and quality standards are upheld. Experience Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is advantageous. Skills in floor care techniques such as buffing and maintenance of various surfaces are beneficial. Experience with residential painting or porter duties can enhance your candidacy for this position. A strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team is essential for success in this role.
