Job Description

Job Summary The Porter plays a vital role in the daily operations of the dealership by providing exceptional support across guest services, vehicle logistics, and facilities management. This position is responsible for safely operating passenger vehicles and delivery vehicles — including manual transmissions — to transport customers and deliver parts or tools to service staff as needed. The Porter assists with the organized parking and retrieval of vehicles in accordance with dealership protocols, ensuring the lot and all indoor areas remain clean, orderly, and professionally presented at all times. As a front-line representative of the dealership experience, the Porter greets and assists visitors with a friendly, professional demeanor — directing guests appropriately and responding to vehicle-related inquiries. In addition to customer-facing responsibilities, this role supports the service department by acting as a reliable driver and runner, contributing to the efficiency of the overall service operation. The Porter also assists with general facilities management and performs other duties as assigned to support the dealership's day-to-day needs. Duties Safely operate standard passenger cars and delivery vehicles, including manual transmissions, to transport Customers to various locations. Assist with vehicle parking and retrieval, ensuring proper organization and adherence to parking protocols at parking areas. Support guest services by greeting visitors, directing them appropriately, and providing assistance with vehicle-related inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dealership lot, including various indoor areas. Support automotive service staff by delivering parts or tools as needed, acting as a reliable delivery driver when required. General Facilities management Other duties as required. Requirements Previous dealership experience or familiarity with automotive service environments is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating standard passenger cars and manual transmissions is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and comfortably for extended periods. Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions is highly desirable. Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
