Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment to maintain high standards of floor care and sanitation Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning materials in accordance with safe lifting practices Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning products to ensure continuous availability for staff and visitors Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent injuries or hazards within the facility Assist with minor maintenance tasks including residential painting or basic repairs as needed to support facilities upkeep Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is preferred Familiarity with cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the use of various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents is essential Experience with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or painting is a plus Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence during heavy lifting and custodial activities Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary Ability to perform manual handling tasks efficiently while maintaining safe lifting practices Join our team as a Janitor/Cleaner and be part of a vibrant organization committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
