A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Jamestown Full Time/Part Time Job Description Assists in cleaning campus facilities under the direction of full time custodial team members.

Cleans common areas, office areas, and bathrooms as needed. Assists with special events including set up and take down. Duties/Functions Cleans, vacuums, mops assigned areas Replaces washroom supplies Disenfects surface areas in offices and common areas Assists with special events Difficult Challenges Long periods of walking and standing Must learn proper cleaning methods and how to use products safely Contacts Von Harmon (50245) Other members of facilities team Education Required Enrolled at GTCC with a 2.0 gpa Education Preferred Experience Required Experience Preferred Some knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures and safety
