Job Description
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian with reliable transportation to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our military recruiting station. This is a vital role in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. The job is to clean for 2.5 hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; a total of 7.5 hours per week. This job has a flexible time schedule where you must complete the cleaning between the hours of 8am and 2pm on that day. A 15-hour work pay period. You must send pictures of the work checklist each cleaning day. Re-supply inventory as needed. Request for re-supply in a timely manner. Have the office Sergeant sign the checklist at the end of the month.Responsibilities:
- Perform custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vaccuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is needed
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor facility issues
- Follow established safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of tasks
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and floor care procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize work effectively
