Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces throughout the facility Execute specialized floor care procedures such as scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to maintain optimal floor appearance and safety Handle cleaning chemicals and floor cleaning agents safely while following all safety protocols and environmental guidelines Operate various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, polishers, carpet extractors, and floor scrubbers with precision and care Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, and equipment as needed for thorough cleaning operations Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, offices, hallways, and other designated areas to promote a healthy environment Support custodial tasks such as waste disposal, replenishing supplies, and ensuring compliance with health standards Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings with a strong understanding of environmental services best practices Knowledge of floor care techniques including scrubbing, buffing, waxing, carpet cleaning, and floor refinishing Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, carpet extractors, and other machinery Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly throughout shifts Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards staff and visitors Familiarity with environmental health standards and safety procedures related to commercial cleaning Join our team as a Cleaning Technician where your skills will help create pristine environments that foster productivity and well-being.
