A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

A cleaning technician is needed Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 3:00pm to 11:00pm. Must be detailed and take pride in your work. If you are someone who calls out frequently, please don't bother to apply because you will not keep the job for very long.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform industrial cleaning tasks in various settings, including offices, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities
  • Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of assigned areas, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are met
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed
  • Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and countertops
  • Vacuum carpets and mop floors to remove dirt, debris, and stains
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors
  • Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap
  • Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials
  • Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required
Skills:
  • Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members
