N/A Job Summary:

Maintain school building and grounds so that it is an attractive, clean and safe learning environment. Report problems to principal and school maintenance when they arise.

Essential Functions:

1. Keep building and grounds neat and clean. 2. Maintain floors in offices, classrooms, workroom, library, and restrooms daily. 3. Maintain supplies in classrooms, workroom, and restrooms. 4. Empty trash in buildings daily. 5. Clean cafeteria and take out trash after breakfast and lunch daily. 6. Empty trash in kitchen daily. 7. Maintain school grounds and minor maintenance as needed. 8. Clean basketball gym and school auditorium. Education, Experience, and skills required: 1. High School graduate preferred. 2. Previous experience with institutional cleaning preferred. 3. Experience working with or near young children preferred.

Evaluation:

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of Board of Education policy, North Carolina statutes, goals established by the Principal.

Environmental Factors:

This position requires moderate to heavy lifting as much as fifty pounds. Requires using industrial cleaning solvents on a daily basis.
