What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Hours will vary based upon flight schedules. Number of weekly hours may increase or decrease due to seasonal flight changes.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Baggage Porter main duties are transporting baggage from the ticket counter to the bag room utilizing a cart when the baggage belt is down/overcapacity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Transport baggage to the bag room/bag belt

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to carry 70 pound suitcase from the floor to 18 inches and carry 70 pound suitcase in front of you with both hands for a distance of up to 25 feet; must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting and twisting. Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Airport environment: Indoors and Outdoors. Extreme outdoor conditions where extreme temperature ranges may be encountered.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent Must have a Valid Driver License. Must successfully pass a background investigation with a fingerprint-based criminal records check in accordance with Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 1542, and Airport Security, as required by the Transportation Security Administration. Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986
