Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Janitor/Cleaner and play a vital role in maintaining a pristine, safe, and welcoming environment. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas are spotless, well-maintained, and inviting for staff, clients, and visitors alike. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will help uphold the high standards of our facilities, creating a positive atmosphere that promotes productivity and comfort. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas including offices, hallways, restrooms, lobbies, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, buffing, and performing specialized floor care to ensure surfaces are safe and visually appealing Handle waste disposal by emptying trash receptacles and recycling bins regularly throughout the shift Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report issues promptly Clean windows, glass surfaces, light fixtures, and other fixtures to ensure clarity and brightness within the environment Assist with light custodial tasks such as changing light bulbs or minor repairs when necessary Support industrial cleaning tasks as needed in larger or more specialized areas such as warehouses or manufacturing zones Use commercial cleaning equipment effectively including vacuums, buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners to achieve optimal results Maintain cleanliness standards in both residential and commercial settings with attention to detail in all cleaning procedures Support facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or painting projects to enhance overall building upkeep Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience is highly preferred; familiarity with commercial cleaning practices is a plus Experience with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing enhances your suitability for this role Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and facilities maintenance contributes to effective performance in diverse environments Previous porter or facilities maintenance experience demonstrates your ability to handle various cleaning and upkeep responsibilities Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently is essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness Strong attention to detail combined with excellent time management skills ensures all duties are completed thoroughly and promptly Monday through Saturday cleaning after 6:00pm to 8:30pm Join us in creating clean, safe spaces that inspire productivity!
