Veritas Environmental Services LLC is looking for a dependable and hardworking Day Porter to join our team at a private school campus in Winston Salem, NC. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in a learning environment by keeping facilities clean, safe, and welcoming every single day. Responsibilities:
Perform routine daytime cleaning and maintenance of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas Monitor and restock restroom supplies, paper products, and soap dispensers throughout the day Respond promptly to spills, messes, and cleaning requests from school staff Empty trash receptacles and replace liners in all assigned areas Maintain clean and presentable entryways, lobbies, and high-traffic zones Assist with light furniture moving, event setup, and teardown as needed Follow all school safety protocols and maintain a professional presence on campus
Requirements:
Previous experience in janitorial, porter, or custodial services preferred Ability to work effectively in a school or institutional environment Strong attention to detail and a proactive, self-motivated work ethic Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs throughout the shift Excellent communication skills and a courteous, professional demeanor Must be able to pass a background check required for school campus access Reliable transportation and consistent attendance are a must
