What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Key Responsibilities Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc.) Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs Make adjustments and minor repairs Clean all apartment homes for turnover Stock and maintain supply rooms Work with the other community team members Follow all health and safety regulations Pick up grounds and lay sand/salt on walkways Responsible for minor landscaping such as watering, pulling weeds, and trimming Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Proven working experience as a cleaner preferred Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets Integrity High school degree Valid driver's license Benefits and Perks Professional development opportunitiesWE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY
