A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

JOB SUMMARY
: The In-House cleaning services Team Member is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and professional environment throughout all non-production areas of a food-grade facility. This includes cafeterias, restrooms, hallways, offices, locker rooms, and common areas. This role supports food safety programs by preventing contamination risks, maintaining GMP standards in shared spaces, and ensuring the facility remains audit-ready at all times.
DAILY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
: Clean and sanitize all non-production areas, including cafeterias, restrooms, break rooms, hallways, offices, locker rooms, and entryways Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces to maintain a high standard of cleanliness Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces (door handles, handrails, tables, vending areas, etc.) Maintain cafeteria cleanliness, including tables, floors, microwaves, refrigerators, and waste areas. Clean, restock, and sanitize restrooms, ensuring adequate supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper) Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal procedures are followed Monitor and address spills, leaks, or unsanitary conditions promptly Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks as scheduled Use cleaning chemicals safely in accordance with SDS (Safety Data Sheets) Follow proper lifting, ergonomics, and equipment usage guidelines Immediately report hazards, unsafe conditions, or incidents. Ensure compliance with established food safety programs, including HACCP programs, SSOPs and GMPs. Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Effectively communicate and positively interact with team members in all departments. Attend meetings and trainings as required. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
Ability to comprehend and follow instructions. MUST be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes to the needs of team members. MUST be a team player. MUST be able to pass required physical including demonstrating your ability to lift the required weight for each position. MUST be able to stand and/or walk for entire 8-hour shift. MUST wear correct job specific PPE as designated by company policy.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
1. Previous janitorial, sanitation, or custodial experience is preferred.
