SUMMARY The Environmental Services Technician II cleans onsite and offsite hospital areas, ensures there is an ample supply of clean linen for patient and facility use, and keeps floors of hallways, rooms and departments throughout the facility and outside windows and traffic areas in clean and well kept condition. Compliance with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as PMHC policies is a condition of employment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Incumbent must have the skills, ability and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation: 1. Washes and disinfects beds and mattresses. Remakes beds after dismissal of patient. 2. Deep cleans utility and storage rooms and ensures they remain in clean orderly condition. 3. Replaces soiled drapes and cubicle curtains. 4. Disinfects equipment. 5. Sweeps, dusts, mops, scrubs, waxes, and buffs floors. 6. Vacuums and shampoos carpet. 7. Cleans upholstered furniture and draperies. 8. Responsible for maintenance of cleaning equipment. 9. Dusts and polishes furniture, counters, and equipment. Polishes metal work. 10. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills. 11. Empties and transports trash to outside dumpsters. 12. Removes and transports all biohazard materials and dirty laundry to appropriate areas. 13. Replenishes bathroom supplies. 14. Sends work orders to Maintenance when any repairs are needed. 15. Notifies maintenance department concerning need for major repairs to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment. 16. Notifies EVS Supervisor when in need of supplies and cleaning products. 17. Greets guests promptly and courteously. 18. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. 19. Consistently adheres to Infection Control practices and Safety procedures ofPMHC. 20.
Is responsible for personal development in attendance of education programs/seminars, and timely completion of annual re-education. 21. Assists in data collection for Quality Assurance/Improvement. 22. Other duties as assignedPHYSICAL DEMANDS
