Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dependable Weekend Cook and Part-Time cleaner to join our team. This role combines preparing and cooking meals with cleaning duties. If you enjoy preparing meals, and take pride in maintaining cleanliness and order, this opportunity is perfect for you! Duties Prepare and serve lunch on Saturday. Prepare breakfast and lunch on Sundays. Prepare an evening meal on Saturdays and Sundays to be reheated later. Work collaboratively with the Head Cook and members of the community. Perform general cleaning tasks such as washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal in kitchen and dining areas and other tasks as directed. Demonstrating the ability to prepare a variety of multicultural meals. Be able to accommodate dietary needs of some of the residents. Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation and cooking. Ability to prepare diverse, multicultural menu options. Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and organization. Ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with monks, staff. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to follow directions.
