Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Temporary Custodian to join our team for the Second Shift. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Your proactive approach to custodial tasks will ensure that our spaces are well-kept, hygienic, and conducive to productivity. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in commercial cleaning, floor care, and facilities maintenance while contributing to a positive atmosphere for staff and visitors alike. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces Handle janitorial responsibilities with attention to detail, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are met consistently Assist with industrial cleaning tasks when needed, including trash removal and sanitation of specialized areas Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or safety hazards observed during your shift Use commercial cleaning tools and equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Maintain cleanliness logs and document completed tasks for accountability and quality assurance Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing Experience with residential painting or general maintenance is a plus but not required Familiarity with industrial cleaning procedures and facilities maintenance practices Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently on the second shift with energy and reliability Join us as a Temporary Custodian on the Second Shift and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments.
