A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Brief Job Description The Claremont School District has an opening for a part time second shift custodian 4 hours per day at Sugar River Valley Regional Technical Center. Qualified candidates will possess a high degree of custodial/cleaning skills to allow them to complete and fulfill all maintenance and custodial responsibilities. Candidates must be self-motivated, detail oriented, team players with strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will have high standards, be friendly and able to interact with staff members, parents and children. Knowledge of cleaning equipment, processes, and associated chemicals is required. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders to a height of ten feet and have a basic understanding of the operation and maintenance of HVAC and building support systems. Basic computer skills is a plus. Other duties may also include but are not limited to, Event set up/ break down, snow removal, grass cutting/trimming, light mechanical repairs. Please apply online.
