The Lead Custodian is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the YMCA facility. They are required to maintain a level of cleanliness to be able to open for normal business; attention to detail, technical know-how, problem solving, and safety skills are key for this position.
Pay Range:
$13 - $16hr Full-time hourly position
Shift:
Flexible shifts available; occasional evening shifts and availability for weekend coverage is required
Essential Functions:
Cleaning of building facilities such as locker rooms, restrooms, offices, fitness studios, classrooms and common areas following assigned procedures Ensure the buildings and grounds are kept in a safe and clean order through use of custodial skills and collaboration with other Facilities/branch staff Duties will include replenishing stock in bathrooms, gathering and emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, monitoring building safety and security and dusting Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving minor and day-today custodial-related issues, and seek assistance/elevate large projects as needed Effectively maintain knowledge of branch operations to proactively support ongoing events and programs Support additional custodial staff to ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately in the absence of the
Facility Director Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent Experience working in custodial operations preferred Must be able to read and follow safety instructions on cleaning agent chemicals required to complete the job
