Overview Join our dedicated custodial team and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for ensuring that facilities are spotless, sanitized, and well-maintained, creating a positive experience for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across our premises. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, windows, restrooms, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques. Handle various cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and window washing to ensure a pristine environment. Conduct sanitation procedures regularly to support infection control and maintain health standards. Operate cleaning machinery such as pressure washers and floor buffers safely and effectively. Manage laundry services when required, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms. Properly handle chemicals used in cleaning processes while adhering to safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with heavy lifting tasks and manual handling of supplies or equipment to ensure efficient workflow. Requirements Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or institutional settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, sanitation practices, and window cleaning. Experience with cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, vacuums, buffers, and chemical dispensers. Ability to handle chemicals safely following proper protocols for chemical handling and disposal. Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with staff and visitors when needed. Familiarity with infection control procedures and maintaining high sanitation standards.
