Job Description
The Parks and Recreation Laborer is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, event and appearance of and preparing for events in the recreation center.
Work Schedule and Hours:
Generally, Tuesday-Saturday 1:00pm-10:30pm, but days and hours may occasionally be modified based on department needs.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Trash removal (interior and exterior)
- Routine maintenance
- Community Center cleaning
- Set up and break down of program equipment and special events,
- Any other duties as assigned by the Director.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Experience in the area of Public Works, custodial, construction or a related field. Good communication and public relations skills and be able to effectively communicate with staff, community groups and the public. Outgoing, positive attitude and ability to self-direct. Ability to perform certain duties that are somewhat strenuous and require a fair amount of physical exertion.QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Valid N.J. Motor Vehicles Driver License.
- Prior experience in maintenance/custodial work preferred.
