Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Porter to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness across our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the overall appearance and hygiene standards of our premises. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational custodial skills while supporting the smooth operation of our organization. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks throughout the facility, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to uphold high cleanliness standards. Maintain cleanliness of common areas, restrooms, hallways, and entry points, ensuring they are hygienic and well-organized at all times. Assist with light maintenance duties such as replacing supplies, restocking restroom essentials, and reporting any facility repairs needed. Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and stored properly after use. Support with moving furniture or equipment during facility setup or events as needed. Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning activities. Collaborate with team members to complete daily tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude. Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures. Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude toward teamwork. Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may involve standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment throughout the shift.
