Janitor/Cleaner

We are looking for a Janitor, or custodian, to take care of our Daycare Center by carrying out cleaning and maintenance duties after the school closes (630pm onwards) on a daily basis (M-F) at The Learning Experience Jackson NJ for approximately 4 hours a night. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition by following the daily, weekly and monthly checklists. Responsibilities Clean and supply designated building (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, emptying of trash etc) Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects (strip and wax, carpet shampooing) Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs Make adjustments and minor repairs Stock and maintain supply rooms Cooperate with the rest of the staff Follow all health and safety regulations Requirements Proven working experience as a janitor Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery (Buffer + carpet cleaner) Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets Integrity and ability to work independently This franchise is independently owned and operated by a franchisee.
