Job Description
Environmental Services Aide Position Summary The Environmental Services Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, public areas, and offices. This role supports infection control and contributes to a positive patient experience through cleanliness and organization. Essential Functions Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls, and windows according to daily schedule. Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and shine floors; replenish paper and soap products; clean mirrors, sinks, and toilets. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers. Collect and remove trash from all areas of the facility daily. Stock linens throughout the hospital to ensure unit readiness. Adhere to all infection control policies and report safety hazards to supervisors. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Information Must maintain professionalism in interactions with patients, visitors, and staff. Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to follow cleaning protocols. Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience:
Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred; cleaning or housekeeping experience strongly preferred.Skills:
