What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Custodian- Leave Replacement (temporary)
Start Date:
July 1 (immediate)- Oct 31
- flexible schedule
- 4 hrs/day
Qualifications:
Duties and requirements include but are not limited to the following: Health Physical required and pass a Mantoux Tuberculin test Cleaning of school building and grounds including classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, common areas using proper safety protocols with regard to chemicals and sanitary guidelines Property maintenance: mowing lawns, maintaining sports fields, snow removal on walkways. Set-up/clean-up furniture and equipment for school activities Ability to take direction, work as a group, or independently, without continual supervision Demonstrates strength and manual dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to understand and follow written and/or oral work related directions and instructions Valid NJ Driver's License Black Seal License NOT required Additional compensation offered for available overtime and for the right candidate with additional maintenance skills.Tasks may include:
