Job Description

Qualifications:
  • Must be a high school graduate or possess a GED.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively. (Read and write).
  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
  • Must have a valid NJ Driver's license
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and guidelines a plus.
  • Able to work under supervision. Warm and friendly with children, parents and staff.
  • Good health confirmed by a physical examination.
  • Fingerprint and criminal record check clearance by the State Department of
N.J. RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain the custodial care of the Pre-school during working hours. a. Clean Bathrooms (touch up areas as needed) i. Touch up area as needed ii. Mop floors after lunch & empty trash iii. Sanitize toilets and sinks b. Vacuum hallway mats & sweep entranceway. i. Spot-check hallway floors throughout the day. c. Maintain Wood furnishings in the building. i. Top dust periodically d. Periodically clean window seals, air conditioning & heating vents throughout the pre-school. e. Daily clean playground area. Make sure equipment is stored in Storage bin. 2. Provide assistance with any structural needs of the Pre-school. a. This includes, but is not limited to fixing, moving, & receiving equipment. 3. Assist Classroom staff when needed. 4.
  • Maintain professional development hours annually and attend a professional conference yearly.
(10 hours yearly) 5. Maintain a membership to a professional early childhood organization. 6. Must demonstrate and provide proof of your connection with the community served by the preschool. 7. Must understand and maintain the confidentiality of student records and knowledge of family information.

Pay:
$19.34 - $20.00 per hour
