The janitorial worker will be responsible for cleaning the facility and production area, using cleaning equipmen like floor scrubber, floor buffing equipment, stripping and waxing floors, completing differnt janitorial duties, and using the proper cleaning chemicals to properly sanitize the surafces. Prior experience in a janitorial or custodial role is required to be considered for this position, having prior experience in a manufacturing/ production environment is a plus. Responsibilities Break down large tomato bins safely and efficiently throughout the shift, including repeated heavy lifting of materials up to 75 lbs. Clean and sanitize the production floor, equipment, and surrounding areas to prepare for the next day of production. Perform deep cleaning of all relevant areas prior to the next production day, following established sanitation procedures and schedules. Clean and sanitize the pipes that fill the bottles and each piece of the production line, ensuring all components meet sanitation standards. Follow strict safety procedures by never cleaning equipment while machinery is running. Use heavy-duty industrial cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines and training, while wearing provided personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and protective suits. Carry out general labor and janitorial tasks, including sweeping and removing debris to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Support production and packaging areas by maintaining sanitation standards that comply with CGMP, HAACP, and internal SOP requirements. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including proper use of hair nets, safety glasses, and other required protective gear. Maintain consistent, reliable attendance and work at a fast, steady pace to meet production and sanitation timelines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Swedesboro, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.42 - $20.42/hr.
