Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely while applying cleaning solutions, disinfectants, and sanitation products in accordance with safety protocols. Conduct heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment while practicing safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Maintain cleanliness by emptying trash receptacles, restocking supplies, and ensuring all areas meet sanitation standards. Use custodial tools and equipment efficiently to perform tasks such as buffing floors, polishing surfaces, and maintaining overall facility appearance. Follow safety procedures during all cleaning activities to ensure compliance with chemical handling safety procedures and facility safety protocols. Assist with minor maintenance tasks or report issues related to facilities maintenance that require specialized attention. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and steam cleaners is advantageous. Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards is essential for ensuring safe work practices. Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks demonstrates physical capability necessary for the role. Strong customer service skills are valued to foster positive interactions with staff and visitors when needed. Previous experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning enhances your ability to perform diverse cleaning responsibilities efficiently.
