In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our early childhood education facilities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and health standards. Your efforts will directly contribute to a positive learning environment that promotes well-being and safety for all. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination Use floor buffers, scrubbers, and other custodial equipment to maintain floors in pristine condition through buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing Conduct routine sanitation tasks such as disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, and restocking supplies to ensure a hygienic environment Assist with light maintenance duties including minor repairs, painting, and general facilities upkeep to support a safe facility environment Follow safety procedures diligently during all cleaning activities, including heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to prevent injuries Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, chemical usage, and safety inspections in accordance with organizational policies Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred High school dipolma or GED Ability to be cleared through the New Mexico State Licensing Bureau for employment in childcare Valid New Mexico driver's license, clear driving record, and own transportation Join us in creating a clean, safe space where young children can thrive!
