Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various chemical agents safely while following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without risk. Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and moving equipment or supplies in accordance with safe lifting practices. Maintain high standards of cleanliness by dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces regularly. Operate cleaning machinery and equipment efficiently, ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocols are followed at all times. Restock supplies such as paper products, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability. Adhere strictly to safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Experience Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and sanitation procedures is highly advantageous. Experience handling chemical agents safely and knowledge of chemical safety procedures is essential. Background in facilities maintenance or general upkeep work enhances your suitability for this role. Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with building occupants or visitors when needed.
