$21.76 per hour About the Role This position will perform custodial and housekeeping duties to maintain satellite communications facilities and associated support structures at the White Sands Complex (WSC) in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. This position supports the Facilities Maintenance & Operations (M&O) Department and ensures all assigned areas meet cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with contract requirements. What You'll Be Doing Perform routine custodial duties, including sweeping, wet/dust mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break areas, and common spaces. Strip, wax, and buff floors and maintain various floor surfaces. Clean windows, walls, and other interior/exterior surfaces as assigned. Maintain custodial equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Follow established cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Support facility readiness by maintaining a clean and hazard-free environment. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Minimum of three (3) years of custodial/janitorial experience in a commercial or industrial environment. High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Practical knowledge of workplace safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and adapt to changing priorities. Position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement (CBA); union membership may be required. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment. Physical Demands & Work Environment Physical requirements includelifting up to 35 pounds, and frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and balancing. Must be physically capable of performing duties in awkward positions and for extended periods of time. Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet mission requirements, including weekends and holidays. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions and may include exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment. Must be able to work in confined spaces and around operational hazards while using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) Why Us?
